About the position

The Senior Knowledge Manager (SharePoint) will play a pivotal role within the CYBERCOM team at QinetiQ US, focusing on the management of knowledge and information systems. This position is essential for ensuring that incoming requirements are effectively managed, with clear task guidance provided to the team responsible for execution. The Senior Knowledge Manager will be tasked with tracking metrics to assess performance and usage, ensuring that the knowledge management capabilities are aligned with the needs of the organization. In this role, the individual will engage in discussions and workshops with leadership and team members to identify innovative solutions that enhance the work environment and address areas needing improvement. The Senior Knowledge Manager will also assist in aligning processes and technology to facilitate information sharing among analysts and organizations, thereby enhancing analytic production. This includes utilizing centralized and peripheral databases, content management systems, and records management systems to shape workflows and processes effectively. The position requires the compilation of reports on performance metrics and future requirements for existing knowledge management capabilities, which encompass search, discovery, storage, and retrieval of data, as well as formal production and taskings. The successful candidate will also perform administrative duties related to SharePoint, including the development and maintenance of SharePoint sites, pages, lists, and libraries, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring operational security management through proper access controls. Additionally, the role involves web application development using various programming languages to support the Knowledge Management Strategy and Dissemination Tool.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming requirements and ensure clear task guidance is provided to the team.
  • Track metrics related to task performance and usage.
  • Define and fulfill emerging client requests.
  • Conduct discussions and workshops to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Align processes and technology to enable information sharing for analytic production.
  • Utilize centralized and peripheral databases and content management systems to shape workflows.
  • Compile reports on performance metrics and future requirements for knowledge management capabilities.
  • Perform administrative SharePoint duties including development and maintenance of SharePoint sites and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Develop web applications using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category, with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI poly, or ability to obtain poly prior to start date.
  • Strong attention to detail and flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in administrative SharePoint duties, including site development and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in web application development using multiple programming languages.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field; OR BA/BS with an additional 5 years of experience for a total of 17 years as a substitute for the MS.
