About the position

The Sr. Lead, Brand Marketing, Women's Train at Under Armour is a pivotal role responsible for all marketing activities related to the Women's Train consumer segment. This position requires a deep commitment to understanding and engaging with the Women's Train audience, crafting consumer-focused and audience-driven go-to-market strategies that enhance brand growth and drive sales. The ideal candidate will obsess over the Women's Train category, ensuring that all marketing efforts resonate authentically with consumers and contribute to a full-funnel consumer journey that fosters consideration and brand affinity. In this role, the Sr. Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including product, social media, public relations, and events, to build integrated marketing plans that align with the brand's values and objectives. A strong emphasis will be placed on the North American market, where the Sr. Lead will leverage data-driven insights and past learnings to inform strategic planning and execution. The position also involves leading the overall planning process, aligning brand initiatives such as positioning, messaging, and communications across all channels, and ensuring timely delivery of marketing assets and activations. The Sr. Lead will serve as a thought leader and advocate for the Women's Train category, representing the brand's perspective to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership. Budget management and the implementation of marketing best practices are also key responsibilities, as is fostering a culture of mentorship within the team. This role is designed for a strategic thinker with a passion for consumer engagement and a proven track record in brand marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Build a winning marketing strategy and develop full funnel plans, partnering with key marketing cross-functional expertise partners.
  • Be the voice of the consumer and serve as a specialist around the Women's Train within the long-term planning process.
  • Lead and influence on behalf of category and brand.
  • Bring a data-driven and insight-rich point of view to the strategy and planning process.
  • Partner with CPO partners early in the go-to-market process to provide strategic insights around innovation and product solutions.
  • Define and lead the overall planning, aligning brand-related initiatives across all channels.
  • Build the integrated marketing plan for the North American market from strategy to execution.
  • Represent and communicate category perspectives and strategies to a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Manage budget effectively and implement standard marketing best practices.
  • Establish and drive a culture of mentorship across the extended team.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding and experience building go-to-market plans including consumer insights, strategy, and brief writing.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer/audience journey.
  • Possess and convey a senior level presence and confidence in business understanding.
  • Understanding of global/regional commercial marketplace and business dynamics.
  • Strategic, curious, enterprise, and ambitious mindset.
  • Purpose-led, consumer-obsessed, and brand-enhancing approach.
  • Ability to understand and synthesize data, insights, and marketing metrics.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills to teams and groups.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant marketing experience in a fast-paced, consumer-driven, product-oriented company.
