About the position

The Advanced Solutions Consultant at Lumen plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by coaching and mentoring sales professionals, focusing on the Network as a Service (NaaS) platform. This position is designed to shift mindsets, elevate skills, and ensure that teams leverage the right resources for success. The consultant will advocate for Lumen's business impact and thought leadership, identify business outcomes, and enable new opportunities for account teams. The role involves early-stage customer development, establishing relationships with senior customer levels, and orchestrating enablement programs to support sales and customer success organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Support early-stage customer development with a focus on the NaaS platform.
  • Position Lumen services directly with customers alongside the sales team.
  • Act as a virtual team member accountable for technology outcome vision for customers.
  • Work closely with account teams to facilitate opportunity discovery and development.
  • Establish business relationships at senior levels of a customer to align NaaS with customer outcomes.
  • Orchestrate and deliver content and tools to prepare sellers for client engagement.
  • Support thought leadership to generate new areas for up-selling and cross-selling NaaS.
  • Interface with the product organization to capture customer feedback for improvements.
  • Evaluate and deploy new enablement methods and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales Operations to create content.
  • Drive initiatives and track performance of enablement programs.
  • Design and lead Solutions Development Workshops and report results to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Ability to articulate and collaborate with c-suite customers on NaaS.
  • Strong technical knowledge of XaaS and its applications.
  • Ability to bridge Product, Enablement, Sales, and Customers effectively.
  • Consultative approach to customer engagement, focusing on understanding needs.
  • Proven track record of managing successful go-to-market programs.
  • Ability to translate high-level vision into customer use-cases and case studies.
  • Technical understanding of the digital marketplace and workflow.
  • Strong consultative selling expertise with a focus on inquiry over product pitching.
  • Program management experience related to sales enablement and business development.
  • Understanding of financial models and commercial benefits of the XaaS model.
  • Ability to extract customer feedback in a consultative manner.
