About the position

Chick-fil-A is seeking a Sr. Lead Front-End Software Engineer - Web Architect to provide technical direction for various web products, including the core web ordering experience. This role involves collaborating with multiple teams to offer strategic guidance on web applications, ensuring the company remains competitive in the digital landscape. The position requires expertise in web technologies and aims to enhance the quality of the React / Typescript / RTK Toolkit / Vercel stack while fostering collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with web product teams to understand their unique challenges and guide implementation of best practices.
• Creating and maintaining shared tools and libraries, including testing and continuous integration tooling.
• Supporting multiple web application products and engaging directly with teams to solve challenging problems.
• Driving adoption of organizational tools and capabilities by partnering with product teams to establish patterns.
• Involvement in early-stage analysis for solutions to business challenges and setting the technical direction for large initiatives.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge in design and programming using technologies such as React, TypeScript, RTK Query, Vercel, and Redux.
• Experience in solutions architecture with a high-level understanding of the entire technology stack.
• Expertise in designing complex software solutions and application deployment strategies.
• Experience working with non-engineering stakeholders to interpret business problems and offer technical solutions.
• Experience developing shared tools and libraries and collaborating with engineering stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
• Familiarity with Vercel, NextJS, and Remix.
• Experience using managed CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
• Experience designing analytics taxonomies and implementing A/B tests.
