About the position

The Lead Python Developer will be responsible for leading the development of a tier one application focused on cash flow forecasting. This role involves upgrading the existing PeopleSoft application to Python, requiring a strong background in both Python and front-end technologies. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in McLean, VA, and is offered as a 6-month contract with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a cash flow forecasting application.
• Upgrade the PeopleSoft application to Python.
• Utilize Python for backend development and front-end tools for UI.
• Implement testing using Pytest and manage dependencies with NumPy.
• Navigate Linux commands effectively for development tasks.
• Oversee the use of Docker for containerization.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python (70% of the role).
• Experience with front-end UI technologies (30% of the role), preferably Solara, Angular, or React.
• Strong knowledge of Pytest for testing.
• Familiarity with NumPy for numerical computations.
• Ability to navigate Linux commands effectively.
• Experience with Docker for container management.
