About the position

As a Sr. Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in delivering secure software solutions within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls team. This position involves implementing and managing cloud network security platforms while ensuring compliance with company policies. You will be responsible for driving the maturity of the cybersecurity software development lifecycle and championing a DevOps security model to automate security processes across various platforms. Your contributions will significantly impact the future of software security at one of the world's largest financial institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deployment, administration, management, configuration, testing, and integration tasks related to the Cloud Network Security Platforms.
  • Champion a DevOps security model to automate and enhance security across all platforms.
  • Support the development and improvement of technical engineering documentation and drive the maturity of the Cybersecurity software development lifecycle.
  • Make strategic decisions by analyzing complex data systems and incorporating knowledge of other business lines and JPMC standards.
  • Ensure all engineering activities conform to JPMC policies and objectives.
  • Take ownership of proof of concept research and development aligned with emerging industry trends and product design.
  • Leverage DevOps tools to build, harden, maintain, and instrument a comprehensive Cloud-based security orchestration platform.
  • Develop automated security and compliance capabilities in support of DevOps processes in a large-scale Cloud computing environment.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in implementation and design of complex cloud architectures, software configuration, design, development, and implementation (Python, GO Lang, or Java ideally).
  • Experience with Public/Private Cloud cybersecurity in a mission-critical environment, including analyzing complex data systems and developing technical engineering documentation.
  • Proficient in core concepts for Public/Private/Hybrid Clouds (Networking, Policy placement, IAM, Network/Application Firewall, etc.).
  • Expertise in cybersecurity practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, and engineering.
