About the position

The Senior Learning and Development Specialist at Dexcom Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting training delivery efforts across North American sites. This position is focused on inspiring and empowering employees through comprehensive development programs, tools, and resources, fostering a culture of continuous growth and performance excellence. The specialist will coordinate logistics, scheduling, and administrative tasks for both technical and non-technical training, ensuring alignment with global training processes and driving ongoing performance improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the scheduling, logistics, and administrative tasks associated with planning and delivering learning events.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support the rollout of training and performance support solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and develop training plans, ensuring alignment on program deliverables.
  • Assist in recruiting and training subject matter experts for engaging learning experiences.
  • Document and publish internal processes and standards.
  • Use training evaluation data to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with other training delivery teams to ensure standardization in training rollout.
  • Comply with established safety practices and quality system procedures during training.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in the training space, with a minimum of 2 years managing projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of adult learning theories and models.
  • Experience with diverse instructional modalities (e.g., instructor-led, computer-based, augmented/virtual reality).
  • Strong experience in coordinating logistical tasks for learning events.
  • Ability to develop project plans and schedules that integrate resources, tasks, and timelines.
  • Experience in evaluating and prioritizing implications, risks, and feasibility of activities.
  • Skills in facilitating learning events using multiple delivery methods.
  • Proficiency in using a learning management system to manage training materials and report data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Manufacturing experience in an automation environment.
  • Degrees in training, learning and development, or human performance improvement.
  • Teaching, training, or facilitation certificate or credentials.
  • Project management certification or comparable experience.
  • Behavioral assessment certification (e.g., The Predictive Index, DiSC, MBTI).
  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Experience with start-up/scale-up organizations.
