About the position

The Sr. Learning & Development Specialist at Republic Bank & Trust Company plays a crucial role in fostering the bank's mission, values, and culture by developing and delivering training programs across various topics. This position is responsible for ensuring that training aligns with company goals and values while serving as an administrator and analyst for the bank's Learning Management System (LMS).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and management of effective learning and performance-focused solutions to meet training needs and business objectives.
  • Demonstrate superior facilitation skills in delivering learning and development solutions.
  • Consult with Department Leaders and functional experts to assess client needs and develop learning strategies.
  • Coach and serve as a resource for other trainers to improve training effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Design and distribute evaluations to trainees to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and track performance of trainees, providing follow-up as needed and offering insights to management.
  • Create, update, and maintain records for associate and manager training assignments utilizing the LMS system.
  • Analyze data to understand training effectiveness and seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as training lead for Project Management teams and projects, creating and delivering necessary training.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the department by identifying ways to improve the learning process and enhance training efficiency.
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements affecting the position and assist in implementation as needed.
  • Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years classroom training/presentation or on-the-job experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years Banking/Financial Services experience using banking systems preferred.
  • Experience in design and development of training programs required.
  • Knowledge and application of course design fundamentals and use of Learning Management System software required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with video and computer-based conferencing methods required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the banking industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with compliance training and regulations.
