About the position

The Sr. Learning Experience Designer at LinkedIn will play a crucial role in the Talent Development team, focusing on designing and implementing impactful digital learning solutions that address key business challenges and enhance employee skills. This position emphasizes inclusive learning design principles and aims to create engaging multimedia learning experiences that are accessible to all employees. The designer will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that learning initiatives are effective and aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy engaging multimedia learning solutions that support functional and enterprise learning strategies.
  • Identify root causes of business problems, define learning objectives, analyze needs, and measure results.
  • Create interactive experiences that drive behavior change using diverse asynchronous learning modalities.
  • Develop scalable practice opportunities using simulations and other innovative digital modalities.
  • Ensure learner-first design with a focus on needs, outcomes, and accessibility.
  • Manage multiple projects end-to-end, from scoping to design, development, launch, and impact analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with instructional designers, stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional partners.
  • Measure impact and refine content/modality based on feedback.
  • Establish accessibility criteria, standards, and best practices for learning experiences.
  • Embed accessibility considerations across all learning initiatives and events.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with the design, build, and delivery of asynchronous digital learning in large global organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience with Learning Design, Instructional Design, Inclusive Design, Accessibility, Learning & Development, or related corporate training field.
  • Expertise in accessibility considerations for people with different disabilities in various learning environments.
  • Experience using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, and AI video generators.
  • Portfolio demonstrating learning experience design work is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with diverse, cutting-edge learning modalities (eLearning, microlearning, gamified learning).
  • Experience using visual design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, PowerPoint).
  • CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies).
  • Experience developing behavior-based learning content in leadership development, coaching, and talent development.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and current learning trends.
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) content including SCORM, assessments, reporting.
