About the position

Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) is seeking a Sr. Lease Credit Analyst to join our dynamic Credit Leasing department in Dallas, TX. As a key player in our organization, the Sr. Lease Credit Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing credit risks associated with potential lease customers. This role involves assessing credit history and making informed decisions to approve, condition, or decline credit extensions in alignment with SFS's credit risk policies, compliance guidelines, and profitability models. The successful candidate will also play a vital role in training and mentoring entry-level lease analysts, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment. In this position, the Sr. Lease Credit Analyst will review and evaluate credit reports and data to determine the risk involved in extending credit. Building and maintaining strong relationships with dealers is crucial, as the analyst will ensure that both volume and credit quality objectives are met. The role requires accurate application of credit decisions in accordance with company policies, credit approval authorities, and relevant regulations such as FCRA and Reg M. The analyst will assist other Lease Credit Analysts in making decisions that exceed their authority and provide guidance on exception considerations. The position also involves utilizing various communication tools to complete necessary verifications and managing exceptions to published credit authority. The analyst will communicate loan application outcomes to dealers and follow up to capture lease business, ensuring responses are issued within established service level parameters. Additionally, the role includes participating in targeted outbound call campaigns to cultivate long-term dealer relationships and collaborating with the Funding department to resolve credit and verification issues. This position requires regular access to sensitive personal information, and it is the responsibility of the Lease Credit Analyst to safeguard this information diligently. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the credit evaluation process.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate credit reports and credit data to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
  • Develop and maintain strong dealer relationships while ensuring volume and credit quality objectives are being met.
  • Accurately apply credit decisions in accordance with company policy and procedures, credit approval authorities, FCRA and Reg M.
  • Assist other Lease Credit Analysts in making decisions outside their authority and provide guidance on exception considerations.
  • Utilize phone, fax, and web-based tools to complete verifications as deemed necessary.
  • Manage exceptions to published credit authority using judgment and experience to produce risk outcomes within company expectations.
  • Complete final disposition on credit applications or forward to appropriate level of authority for final approval.
  • Communicate loan application outcomes to dealers via phone, email, or other appropriate means and follow up to capture lease business.
  • Ensure responses to dealers are issued within established service level parameters.
  • Make outbound and handle inbound calls to negotiate final terms of contracts with dealer customers and DRM.
  • Participate in targeted outbound call campaigns to cultivate long-term dealer relationships.
  • Work directly with the Funding department and DRM's to resolve credit and verification issues that arise in funding.
  • Utilize daily reports and other data to support the DRM in training and managing SFS relationships with dealer customers.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' auto underwriting experience required.
  • Captive and/or lease auto underwriting experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal, mathematical, reasoning ability, computer, problem solving, interpersonal, written communication, business acumen, and sound judgment skills.
