About the position

At Redwire Space, we are a team of dreamers and doers, where the impossible becomes possible. We are currently seeking a Sr. Level Cost Analyst to join our team in Goleta, CA. This hybrid role offers flexibility with a mix of in-office and remote work. In this position, you will support and collaborate with program management and accounting to develop, manage, and present information critical to program success. You will perform financial and administrative reporting for various programs.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with program management in the EAC development process; monitor performance against agreed upon budgets and milestones.
  • Facilitate, monitor, and forecast program financial metrics in support of program revenue calculations for month-end close and financial planning activities.
  • Support reviews of financial and internal controls to ensure they meet management objectives.
  • Develop and project variances, trending, and analysis of expenditures; create financial charts for program management and reviews.
  • Support program management by performing specific tasks related to reviews of management practices and policies; recommend changes to enhance operating efficiencies.
  • Compile and analyze data on factors influencing costs such as materials, labor, location, and special equipment requirements.
  • Prepare a cost summary for the entire project, including costs of labor, equipment, materials, subcontracts, overhead, taxes, insurance, markup, and other costs.
  • Estimate costs or track actual costs relative to bid specifications as the project develops.
  • Support cost estimating or proposals as needed.
  • Lead the preparation and submittal of monthly IPMR CDRLs (Formats 1-7) if required by contract.
  • Some limited travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and at least 2 years as a cost/price analyst supporting programs or projects.
  • Experience summarizing, packaging, and presenting information to different levels of organizational hierarchy, including management.
  • Experience developing budget/cost models for estimating program resource requirements and life cycle cost estimates, familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM's).
  • Experience with budget/cost variance analysis.
  • Support program management in analyzing monthly performance data and accurately updating Estimate at Complete (ETC).
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in program planning and/or program cost management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to work collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Assist program management with program forecasting.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Maintain project records, KPIs, and cost analysis reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of working within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Deltek, Costpoint preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control systems and procedures.
  • Strong financial analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, including Vlookup and pivot table.
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry.
