About the position

The Sr. Licensed Architect will leverage their extensive training and experience to provide expert analysis, reports, and testimony in civil litigation and insurance claims. This role involves reviewing documents and on-site conditions to determine facts and issues, assisting clients in legal environments with their case duties.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze documents and on-site conditions related to civil litigation and insurance claims.
  • Provide expert testimony and reports based on investigations and analyses.
  • Assist clients in understanding technical and scientific aspects of their cases.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team to resolve case issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture.
  • State licensure as an architect is required.
  • Ability to obtain licensure in other states within the region.
  • Experience designing or working on buildings across various Use Groups including Assembly, Business, Educational, Mercantile, Institutional, Factory, and Residential.
  • Experience with code evaluation, specification writing, and diagnosing building defects.
  • Experience in construction administration, design/build, or construction management is a plus.
  • 15+ years of post-degree experience in architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of building safety and construction technology.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • BIM experience is a plus.
  • Experience working for a construction company is a plus.
