About the position

The Sr. Life Product Analyst at Lincoln Financial will be responsible for delivering complex assignments and initiatives related to insurance products. This role involves serving as a technical resource, developing complex spreadsheet models, and providing subject matter expertise to train end-users. The analyst will also lead issue resolution and ensure that calculations in administrative systems align with product specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Advises IT on updates to administrative systems to ensure accurate calculations and product performance.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives, supporting change management within assigned areas.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance quality across teams and departments.
  • Leads initiatives to update or build new calculations and develop user-friendly models for insurance product performance.
  • Leads product development projects related to administrative systems.
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends and collaborates with management to incorporate developments into solutions.
  • Provides direction on complex assignments and projects to enhance capabilities in assigned areas.
  • Trains end-users on model usage and develops instructional materials.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to internal teams and stakeholders on complex projects.
  • Supports ad hoc reports and assignments as needed.
  • Quality checks policy information and calculations in administrative systems.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements within the department and other business areas.
  • Reviews IRS code calculations and codes them into Excel spreadsheets.
  • Tests and protects models for accuracy and reliability.
  • Serves as a technical resource for resolving complex issues and revises calculations/models as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in the insurance industry relevant to this role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.
