About the position

The Sr. Linux Systems Administrator will support the Fenwick Program at Lockheed Martin, focusing on the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various IT systems in an agile scrum environment. This role is critical in managing day-to-day operations of client/server/storage/network devices, ensuring system security, and protecting against cyber threats through patching and hardening of Linux RedHat OS.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various IT systems in an agile scrum environment.
• Manage IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
• Patch and harden Linux RedHat OS and collaborate with Security personnel to protect against Cyber Threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited University, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience with Linux system administration.
• Experience in software practices and configuration management.
• Scripting experience.

• RedHat OS patching/hardening experience.
• RedHat OpenShift experience.
• AWX experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment.
• Agile development experience.
• Experience using C/C++ or another object-oriented development language.
