About the position

As a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Media, Entertainment, Games, and Sports industries through innovative cloud solutions. This position is designed for passionate builders who are eager to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies that enhance content monetization strategies and data management. You will be responsible for educating customers, partners, and internal stakeholders about the transformative potential of AWS services and solutions. Your expertise will guide real-life customer projects, ensuring they leverage the full capabilities of AWS and partner offerings. In this role, you will not only architect and deliver customer-centric solutions but also create high-quality enablement content such as guidance documents, blogs, demos, proofs of concept (POCs), and presentations. You will engage with customers both remotely and in person, sharing your insights and inspiring them to adopt AWS solutions. Your responsibilities will include anticipating future trends in technology, identifying applications of emerging technologies, and driving thought leadership in areas such as Big Data, Data Science, and Data Lake Architectures. You will also be expected to deliver compelling communications on complex topics related to ad technology and content monetization, establishing AWS as the preferred cloud provider for organizations aiming to enhance revenue growth and optimize asset returns. This position requires a minimum of 30% travel, including international travel, as you will be actively engaging with customers and industry events to promote AWS solutions. You will be part of a dynamic team within AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is dedicated to driving revenue and growth across various market segments, from small and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and deliver innovative, customer-obsessed solutions leveraging AWS services and partner offerings.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with key industry players, driving thought leadership and shaping industry trends.
  • Create high-quality enablement content, including guidance, blogs, demos, POCs, and presentations.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and industry events to inspire and educate on the transformative potential of AWS solutions.
  • Deliver written and spoken communications on complex ad-technology/content monetization subjects and establish AWS as the public cloud of choice for industry organizations.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in technology leadership roles within large enterprise media organizations, focusing on advertising/marketing technologies, Containers, Networking, Data and Analytics, Media Services.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience with Python or equivalent programming languages.
  • AWS Certification(s) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven experience with Big Data Analytics, Consumer Data Platforms, and Storage systems for media, entertainment, games, or sports, including Content Lakes and Content Archives, Media Asset Management (MAM), and Production Asset Management (PAM).

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in large enterprise or complex environments.
  • Broad experience across multiple IT domains, including Content/Data Security, Data Center Operations, Machine Learning, and Big Data Analytics.
  • Familiarity with various database platforms (relational, NoSQL, vector databases).
  • Experience in Data Science and Data Lake design/architecture.
  • Strong technical acumen to understand the customer or partner landscape and identify opportunities.
  • Strong business acumen to comprehend the business domain and propose effective solutions.
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to senior leadership (e.g., CxOs) within customer or partner organizations.
