About the position

As a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer at Yum! Brands, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing advanced machine learning solutions that enhance decision-making processes across the company's digital platforms. Your role will involve collaborating with data scientists and cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into production environments, ensuring they are scalable and efficient. This position is critical in driving innovation and improving customer experiences through intelligent systems that learn from data.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with a team of data scientists to design and develop machine learning models and algorithms that address specific business problems.
  • Implement machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, feature extraction, model training, and inference, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Deploy and monitor machine learning models in production environments, updating them as necessary to maintain performance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning features into larger software systems.
  • Stay current with the latest machine learning technologies and best practices to enhance the quality of solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in prompt scripting, machine learning, system automation, or a similar role
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or Scala
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms and principles (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing services (AWS, Google Cloud) for deploying machine learning models
  • Communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
