About the position

As a full stack Machine Learning Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in our monetization team, collaborating with Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Engineers to enhance and personalize our monetization strategy. This hybrid role is based out of our offices in Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco, and involves a range of responsibilities from ideation to technical implementation. In this position, you will envision, research, develop, and improve high-impact ML/AI-driven products and features. You will build and maintain production Python services that are utilized by over 50 million students and teachers globally each month. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in ML/AI and educational technology is crucial to ensure that our platform remains at the forefront of innovation. You will also be responsible for continuously evaluating and improving both new and existing ML/AI models and products, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team. We are looking for someone with a strong background in machine learning, who has a proven track record of delivering impactful production ML solutions at scale. You should have a deep understanding of machine learning approaches and techniques, as well as a keen awareness of product and user needs. Proficiency in Python and production engineering best practices is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. A passion for education and a strong interest in leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience for students is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in machine learning and a proven track record of delivering impactful, production ML solutions at scale.
  • 2+ years of experience working with machine learning techniques to enhance monetization strategies.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning approaches and techniques, as well as of product and user needs.
  • Proficiency in Python and production engineering best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
