About the position

The Sr. Manager, Actuarial & Analytics, Model and Business Performance Analytics Lead is a leadership role within the Business Insurance Actuarial and Analytics team. This position is responsible for managing the BI Travelers BOP 2.0 Product, leading actuarial support for model enhancements, and conducting analyses to improve profitability. The role requires collaboration with various teams and involves strategic planning, operational execution, and talent management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of the BI Travelers BOP 2.0 Product.
  • Support the common rating algorithm/engine for scoring the strategic BOP 2.0 Product.
  • Conduct month-end Restatement reporting and performance metrics.
  • Perform actuarial support for model version releases and advancements in data product capabilities.
  • Lead analyses of key risk segmentation/rating variables to improve profitability.
  • Communicate analysis and project results to staff, peers, and business partners.
  • Mentor and develop talent within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis required.
  • 5+ years of quantitative analysis experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (e.g., SQL, SAS).
  • Management experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate Actuarial Credential preferred.
  • Experience with advanced statistical analyses.
  • Familiarity with project management and research methods.
