About the position

The Sr. Automation and Controls Engineering Manager at Mark Anthony Brewing is a strategic leadership role focused on enhancing operational technology systems and applications. This position involves collaboration with various business units, IT, and co-packers to ensure the support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of site operational technology. The manager will lead projects aimed at achieving manufacturing excellence and will be responsible for developing documentation and training for new OT solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business process experts to understand functional requirements for continuous improvement projects and deliver automated solutions.
  • Lead OT continuous improvement projects from conception to completion to achieve manufacturing excellence at the Hillside site.
  • Work with the Corporate Offsite team for new development and support of all site OT applications.
  • Provide level 2 support and maintain all OT applications.
  • Support the Corporate Offsite team during upgrades, patches, or code management of OT applications, aligning with plant management for shutdown windows to maximize uptime.
  • Develop SME level capability for all OT applications and equipment controls.
  • Troubleshoot and develop OT application integrations following MAB standards and functional requirements.
  • Ensure integration development follows MAB standards.
  • Provide documentation of technical design, SOPs, and training for new features and solutions during OT application rollouts or upgrades.
  • Lead the creation of documentation for training and SOPs to ensure ease of use of new OT solutions and build user confidence.
  • Build strong relationships with site leadership and the broader Controls team.
  • Exhibit strong business partnering capabilities.
  • Lead the evolution of a robust MAB Quality and Food Safety Culture by reinforcing Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a minimum of ten years of relevant work experience.
  • 10 years' experience in SCADA design and development using Factory Talk SE and Inductive Automation.
  • 10 years' experience in PLC programming, specifically with Allen Bradley RS Logix and Studio 5000.
  • 10 years of practical hands-on expertise with Food & Beverage processing equipment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership and management experience.
  • Experience with IT OT convergence.
  • Full lifecycle project management experience including process development, scale-up, commissioning, and operations training.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages such as Python, XML, HTTP, SQL, Web Service Business Connector, Ladder Logic, Function Block, STL, and VBA.
