About the position

The Senior Manager, B2B Marketing is responsible for driving the overall marketing strategy and marketing plans for omni-channel sales, engagement, and customer growth. This position helps to deliver on business plans and objectives with a focus on optimizing what is working and recommending innovative and targeted ways to reach customers. West Marine Pro, the B2B division of West Marine, strive to serve all Marine Industry Professionals, whether it be the owner of multiple marinas to the individual boat repair person, our mission is to provide impeccable service with in-stock product at the best price.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently demonstrate a deep understanding of the West Marine Pro business, competitive landscape, and consumer dynamics to inform strategic planning.
  • Drives Marketing goals, strategic plans, and tactical plans alignment across business and cross-functional partners.
  • Develops marketing briefs for seasonal initiatives, New Product Releases, and any other campaigns assigned to support the West Marine Pro business.
  • Ensure the broader marketing team is carefully executing across multiple marketing channels, with a heavy focus on email, in-store signage and marketing activations, and owned websites as critical customer touch points.
  • Serve as a key expert on the voice of the Pro customer to ensure marketing messaging is appropriate at the right time to the right people.
  • Partner closely with the CRM team to ensure all consumer touchpoints and journeys are current and impactful to the Pro customer.
  • Proactively partner with the Digital team to identify experiences enhancements that should be built to enhance the Pro experience through website and app.
  • Attend and lead marketing activations at industry event initiatives where appropriate.
  • Own the Pro marketing calendar process, inclusive of annual planning timeline, stakeholder inputs, and day-to-day maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or similar.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with an entrepreneur mindset.
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to balance priorities across several initiatives.
  • A passion for e-commerce, and consumer behavior. Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms.
  • Direct experience with complex omnichannel organizations, with experience with both brick and mortar and ecommerce.
  • Boating/Marine industry knowledge strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bonus Experience with event planning and traditional media planning.
