About the position

The Sr. Manager of Business Administration/Operations at Bloomingdale's plays a crucial role in the store leadership team, focusing on leading and managing a diverse team to ensure in-store success. This position combines elements of business consulting and relationship management to drive sales, manage expenses, and improve EBIT. The role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance customer experience and streamline administrative processes, while also focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and staff management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations to elevate service levels including customer support, curbside, BOPS, SDD pick-up, gift wrap, returns, and bill pay.
  • Ensure high responsiveness to customer needs, positively impacting NPS metrics.
  • Oversee the hiring process, including applicant correspondence, interviewing, and selecting talent.
  • Manage the new hire orientation and onboarding processes to enhance engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Strategize staffing solutions to ensure efficient store operations within payroll budget.
  • Act as the key contact with Trade Leaders and Central Business Partners, overseeing technology adoption.
  • Manage Cash Office operations, including balancing vault and cash functions.
  • Organize weekly store recognition rallies and maintain engagement programs.
  • Collaborate with Store Leadership to execute central strategies on key sales days.
  • Drive fulfillment execution to meet fill rate standards for various services.
  • Monitor and influence compliance with returns best practices and merchandising standards.
  • Review staffing plans seasonally to optimize payroll hours usage.
  • Monitor NPS scores and implement changes to improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute strategies effectively.
  • Resourceful self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
