The Sr. Business Development Manager is tasked with achieving sales targets and strategic account objectives, thereby maximizing new business growth through a Top Down sector approach. This role is essential in building a robust pipeline and ensuring that the needs and expectations of new customers are met by the company. In this role, the Sr. Business Development Manager will leverage the comprehensive safety solutions and product line offered by Shoes For Crews to generate new Tier 1 customers. A deep understanding of profitability components in the business is crucial, as is the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The manager will lead corporate new business growth activities, which include opportunity identification, business development, capture management, proposal development, and pipeline growth. A customer engagement strategy will be developed and executed through face-to-face meetings and participation in industry events. The position also requires the development and organization of information in a format that successfully manages sales projects, including proposals, RFP responses, business plans, capabilities overviews, testimonials, case studies, and ROI analyses. The Sr. Business Development Manager will drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the company's ambitious growth plan while building, managing, and optimizing B2B relationships. The execution of sales tactics and strategies will be essential to effectively manage the pipeline and achieve winning outcomes. The manager will work closely with economic buyers and other buying influences across a diverse segment profile, ensuring that assigned sales targets and profitability expectations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage comprehensive safety solutions and product line to generate new Tier 1 customers in a defined geographic market.
  • Build a pipeline of Tier 1 account prospects via telephone, B2B marketing, social selling, and targeted lists.
  • Lead corporate new business growth activities, including opportunity identification and proposal development.
  • Develop and conduct a customer engagement strategy through face-to-face meetings and industry events.
  • Organize information to manage sales projects such as proposals, RFP responses, and ROI analysis.
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the company's growth plan.
  • Build, manage, and optimize B2B relationships.
  • Execute sales tactics and strategies to manage pipeline effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; MBA is a plus.
  • 5-7 years' experience in selling complex B2B enterprise accounts.
  • Experience in selling industrial footwear.
  • Solid analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Experience in competitive analysis and price-to-win analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, results-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and execute tactical objectives.
  • 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience with complex, multi-location accounts.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient with a leading CRM solution (preferably Salesforce.com) and Microsoft Office software.
  • Current valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
