About the position

Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a Sr. Manager, Business Development reporting to our San Francisco office. This is a new addition to our team as we are strengthening our presence in renewable energies. Critical to success in your role will be your ability to digest a complete set of policy, economic and technical factors affecting your assigned market, identify critical path items (often with uncertainty and imperfect information) and make prudent investment decisions required to secure project success. In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with internal government affairs staff and external trade groups/industry organizations to identify and shape new and existing state policy markets for long-term community solar project development. You will select and manage external subject matter experts and software providers to support project site targeting, as well as consultants and development partners to achieve site control on favorable project locations. Additionally, you will partner with internal engineering and environmental subject matter experts to perform fundamental site diligence to determine project viability, including wetlands delineation and environmental site assessments. You will devise and execute project-specific development plans and budgets, sequencing development activities and spending on interconnection, entitlement, and engineering to advance project maturity while closing out risks. Regular interfacing with the engineering team will be necessary to align technical plans and workflows with development schedules.
