About the position

The Sr Manager, Business Operations for Evidence Generation in Global Medical Affairs Oncology at Takeda is responsible for overseeing business-specific finance management and operational connectivity. This role involves driving optimal business performance through budget and finance data analysis, managing contract operations, and aligning organizational performance with business strategies to support financial goals. The position requires collaboration with various cross-functional teams and the ability to present insights to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, development, and oversight of business-specific finance management.
  • Drive optimal business operations performance through budget/finance data and analysis.
  • Oversee contract management operations for GMAO Evidence Generation activities.
  • Align people, processes, and tools to improve organizational performance.
  • Conduct fair market value assessments of study budgets and chair the GMAO Budget Review Committee.
  • Act as primary liaison with cross-functional teams for system analytics and metrics.
  • Manage strategic, financial, and operational planning, preparing materials for senior leadership.
  • Identify key success factors for financial and contractual operational efficiency.
  • Interact with broader Takeda functions to achieve key objectives and KPIs.
  • Provide complex analysis and identify cost reduction opportunities in GMAO operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, science, or finance; Master's/MBA desired.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs focused on operations, process execution, financial management, and contracting.
  • Strong problem-solving and process management skills.
  • Ability to analyze process flows and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience in business process optimization and improving operational performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational agility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in medical affairs.
