About the position

The Senior Manager, Business Planning and Accounting will be responsible for establishing and maintaining accurate accounting records and financial reports. This role requires a strong background in accounting and financial planning and analysis, particularly in areas such as general ledger and intercompany accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable, inventory and cost accounting, and financial analysis. The Sr. Manager will provide timely and quality financial analysis and information to management, develop various financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, and support the accounting functions within the business unit. Additionally, this position will play a key role in process improvement projects and will be involved in customer bid support. The essential functions of this role include the development, review, analysis, and presentation of monthly reporting packages to executive management and ASG Steering Committee members. This involves reviewing monthly financial results, facilitating the annual business plan and monthly close processes, and ensuring quality, accurate, and timely reporting. The Sr. Manager will also manage the annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, and develop financial models that assist leadership in making key business decisions. In this position, the Sr. Manager will interact regularly with accountants and entity representatives to identify and quantify potential financial benefits of improvement ideas and initiatives. They will assist in developing performance measurements and other financial tools, and help streamline and eliminate unnecessary transactions. The role also includes completing the monthly and year-end accounting close processes, supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining a system of internal controls that comply with company policies and procedures. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for managing the coordination and preparation of corporate and financial reporting functions, as well as other duties and special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 8-10 years of related experience and/or training in accounting or finance.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills for discussing financial results with management.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
  • Technical expertise in accounting and financial software, including Oracle and Microsoft Office.
  • Significant interpersonal skills to build working relationships.
  • Commitment to quality work and service.
