About the position

The Sr Manager, Business Services Operations is responsible for overseeing the Business Services Loan Processing and Loan Administration teams. This role involves providing expertise and training on loan documentation matters, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of loans, and adhering to regulatory requirements. The position plays a critical role in developing process improvements, managing risk, and supporting the strategic objectives of the Business Services Department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Business Services Loan Processing and Loan Administration teams.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Provide expertise and training to associates on all aspects of loan servicing and documentation.
  • Oversee pre-closing documentation process for business loans, including closing checklists, title policies, surveys, UCC searches, credit bureaus, and flood determination.
  • Help minimize loan closing exceptions and oversee the tracking and collection of exception items that loan documentation is responsible for.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Lending operations, with a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders and maintain relationships internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated expertise in loan documentation and servicing across commercial real estate and commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Ability to function in various programs and systems relevant to job responsibilities; experience with LaserPro and Document Imaging systems preferred.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to independently organize work, balance multiple priorities, and manage projects in a high-volume work environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to the position, and compliance with all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
