About the position

As the Sr. Manager, Category Advisor at Helen of Troy, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Walmart Merchandising Team to drive outstanding growth solutions. Your expertise as a category professional will be essential in developing differentiated, relevant, and actionable insights that guide a robust category growth strategy. You will be responsible for executing this strategy and providing critical metric tracking to ensure its success. Your role will involve stewarding the value of Helen of Troy's Category Advisory Services with Walmart's leadership, evaluating the category, addressing key business questions, and building strategies and tactics to drive category growth. In this position, you will deliver fully coordinated consumer, category, and market insights that will guide Walmart's strategic choices and tactical actions, ultimately leading to significant growth. You will proactively provide analytics using all Category Management capabilities, including planogram software, data visualization tools, and marketplace data, to identify business opportunities and develop recommendations. Building and nurturing business relationships with key contacts at Walmart will be crucial, establishing Helen of Troy as the leading source for all category strategy needs. Your responsibilities will also include planning and implementing modular relays with Walmart Merchandising, providing Category Management reporting, trend analysis, customized reports, and special project work directly to Walmart. You will work closely with Walmart's Merchandising teams, applying JDA Space Planning software for semi-annual resets, and tracking and developing strategies to gain share leadership at the manufacturing, brand, and sub-category levels. This role requires you to maintain and manipulate big data to develop deep insights on products, both for Helen of Troy and competitive brands. Additionally, you will be expected to explain online category insights to cross-functional groups, converting these insights into actionable new product development (NPD) and trends. As the category leader, you will bring more value to the division and selling process by developing consistent data analysis to support category selling stories and line reviews.
