About the position

Verkada is seeking a Senior Compensation Manager to lead the evolution and execution of the company's global compensation strategy. This role is critical for attracting, rewarding, and retaining top talent as the company continues to grow. The Senior Compensation Manager will work closely with various departments, including Finance and People Operations, and will have high visibility with the executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and refine Verkada's global compensation strategy as the business scales.
  • Develop and document compensation guidelines, policies, and ongoing training programs.
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitiveness of cash pay, equity pay, and benefits globally.
  • Partner with Finance, People Partners, Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and Executives on pay decisions and job evaluations.
  • Build tools and processes to streamline compensation workflows from job postings to offer signatures.
  • Develop and track critical compensation reporting metrics for the Executive team.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mentality and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills to partner with stakeholders across the company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in Investment Banking or Management Consulting is strongly preferred.
