About the position

The Sr Manager, Congress Operations and Digital Health Communications is responsible for coordinating the execution of medical congress activities and managing the day-to-day activities related to the development and dissemination of digital medical scientific content. Key responsibilities include overseeing and managing tactics to ensure alignment, consistency, and timely completion of all congress-related activities. This includes leading medical logistics meetings, maintaining internal tools and trackers, managing individual workloads, prioritizing tasks, notifying the Scientific Communications team of potential risks or concerns, and supporting appropriate triage. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with other members of the Scientific Communications team to manage the day-to-day activities associated with the development and dissemination of digital medical scientific content, including virtual medical congress booths, and digital content associated with publications. This role may also provide support, as needed, for the development of podcasts, videos, website content, webinars, and digital interactives.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in academic/commercial meeting planning, preferably in the pharma/biotech industry.
  • Ability to travel to medical congresses for approximately 3-5 days, at least 3-4 times per year.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and solve problems independently.
  • High degree of self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and general guidance.
