The Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting at Helen of Troy plays a crucial role in overseeing various accounting functions, including revenue accounting, inventory management, and sales commissions. This position is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards while collaborating with multiple departments to support corporate financial objectives. Responsibilities

• Prepare and engage group staff in accounting functions.
• Manage revenue accounting processes.
• Oversee trade discount management including returns, discounts, and markdowns.
• Compile inventory reserves and manage freight, duty, and overhead values in inventory.
• Account for capitalized variances and reconcile inventory variances between warehouse and GL systems.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations for sales rep commissions.
• Perform variance analysis and compile financial reporting.
• Address inquiries and provide support to internal and external auditors.
• Research emerging accounting pronouncements and implement new accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, sales, IT, and other departments on cross-functional projects.
• Support corporate shared services departments on accounting or financial variances questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of dynamic experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience in management.
• 3+ years of inventory or cost accounting experience.
• Public Accounting experience or experience within a publicly traded company.
• Intermediate to advanced abilities with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
