About the position

The Sr. Manager of Data Center Operations at Oracle is responsible for leading teams that ensure the availability and operational excellence of multiple cloud data centers across the United States. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, team building, and strategic planning to support the rapid expansion of Oracle's cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess strong people management skills, business acumen, and technical expertise in IT service delivery, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of all Data Center sites in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
• Ensure timely delivery of services/tasks to meet project milestones.
• Guide project managers and provide on-the-ground advice/support.
• Uphold quality benchmarks for new sites, regions, and deployments.
• Drive delivery of improvements and provide feedback in project reviews.
• Interact across functional areas and teams, including Engineering and Business Operations.
• Manage incidents and drive resolution with After-Action analysis.
• Oversee capacity expansions and ensure high-quality team recruitment.
• Foster a culture of continual improvement and learning within the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of IT leadership and management experience in the technology market.
• Strong knowledge of the Data Center ecosystem, including cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling.
• Experience in vendor relationship management and negotiations.
• Ability to influence thinking and gain acceptance in sensitive situations.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• BA/BS degree preferred.
