About the position

The Sr Manager, Data Engineering role in the Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA) organization at Amazon is focused on leading data engineering teams to develop solutions that enhance the hiring process across the company. This position involves strategic leadership, collaboration with various stakeholders, and the delivery of high-quality data infrastructure and insights to support Amazon's mission of being the most customer-centric company in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple teams of data engineers to define and deliver on the technology vision for Intelligent Talent Acquisition.
  • Set organizational priorities while balancing customer, stakeholder, and business needs.
  • Define the long-term technical vision that meets business needs in scalable ways.
  • Deliver high-quality data engineering solutions and rapid prototypes to gather user feedback.
  • Collaborate with product and business leaders to translate business needs into software solutions.
  • Hire and develop builders within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of data engineering experience
  • 5+ years of data engineering team management experience
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and development teams
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with multiple science teams as customers
  • Experience working with human resources related data and associated policies
