About the position

The Sr Manager, Data Engineering role in the Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA) organization at Amazon is responsible for leading multiple data engineering teams to develop data solutions that enhance the hiring process across the company. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver data infrastructure, insights, and engineering excellence, while also managing a diverse team of builders. The role requires a strategic mindset to define and implement a long-term technical vision that aligns with business needs and customer-centric goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple teams of data engineers to define and deliver on the Intelligent Talent Acquisition technology vision.
• Set organizational priorities while balancing customer, stakeholder, and business needs.
• Define the long-term technical vision for the organization that meets business needs in scalable ways.
• Deliver high-quality data engineering solutions and rapid prototypes to gather user feedback.
• Collaborate with product and business leaders to translate business needs into software solutions.
• Hire and develop builders within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of data engineering experience
• 5+ years of data engineering team management experience
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and development teams
• Experience managing globally distributed teams

• Experience working with human resources related data and associated policies
