Berkley Accident and Health is seeking a Sr. Manager, Databases and Reporting to join our Information Technology department. This newly created role is essential for addressing the challenges related to the consistency, reliability, security, and accuracy of our databases, extract-transform-load (ETL) solutions, and reporting mechanisms. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for transforming ambiguity into structured solutions, ensuring that our data management practices are robust and effective. This position will be based in our Hamilton, NJ office, with a hybrid work model of four days in the office and one day remote. In this role, you will lead a team of three data analysts and engineers, guiding them in the execution of a strategic roadmap focused on data analytics and reporting. You will collaborate closely with the AVP of Information Technology to assess the current state of our IT catalog, which includes existing databases, ETL solutions, and reports. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the definition and delivery of initiatives that enhance our data infrastructure and reduce legacy technical debt. Key responsibilities include overseeing the design and deployment of MS SQL Server databases, developing and tuning table relationships, and ensuring the protection of personal and health information through appropriate encryption methods. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining ETL packages using MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and managing the ETL processes to ensure data quality and availability. Your ability to translate business requirements into effective visualizations and reports will be vital in supporting our stakeholders and enhancing our data-driven decision-making processes.
