About the position

The Sr. Manager Design Development Technical Lead at Micron Technology is responsible for leading the HBM design efforts within the Heterogeneous Integration Group. This role involves multi-functional collaboration across various departments to ensure timely delivery of HBM products while maintaining high standards of quality, speed, power, and cost. The position requires strategic planning, risk management, and effective communication with both internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical HBM design program lead in multi-functional company forums.
  • Drive vertical integration with the business unit and PDT to support business needs.
  • Plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with multi-functional partners.
  • Identify program and technical risks and build mitigation plans in collaboration with design and architecture teams.
  • Monitor and report key metrics, driving improvement programs as necessary.
  • Develop and refine business processes to enhance market leadership and execution.
  • Provide regular status updates to executives and address critical issues as needed.
  • Ensure HBM products meet best-in-class standards for speed, power, cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Cultivate cross-group communication for standardization and group success.
  • Lead engagements with design contractors, IP vendors, and procurement.

Requirements

  • Understanding of custom and digital design flows.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide large organizations.
  • Record of strategic vision and ability to drive product planning and resource planning.
  • Familiarity with the full cycle of SoC development, including architectural spec development and post-silicon bring-up.
  • Experience with IP providers and SoC and DRAM ecosystem partners.
  • Knowledge of DRAM operation, particularly with the HBM product family.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., JEDEC).
