About the position

The Sr Manager of Digital Strategy at The Walt Disney Company will lead the development and execution of global digital marketing strategies for YouTube, focusing on brand platform development, content creation, and digital brand marketing. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure alignment with corporate priorities and effective campaign execution across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overarching digital campaigns and macro-level strategies by brand.
  • Lead digital campaigns for Disney, Disney+, and related franchises.
  • Collaborate on calendar planning to ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Act as a strategic partner for Creative & Publishing teams.
  • Represent the Global YouTube initiative in senior executive meetings.
  • Ensure alignment with digital brand stewardship and creative priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for campaign development and planning.
  • Provide weekly project status updates to the VP and Corporate Brand.
  • Manage and update team planning documents and strategies for global YouTube.
  • Oversee the distribution of YouTube documents to stakeholders as directed.
  • Manage programming calendars and communication to meet deadlines.
  • Accountable for team quarterly planning meeting agendas and action items.
  • Foster a work culture that values inclusivity, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Lead and guide a diverse team of approximately 2 professionals.
  • Participate in professional development workshops for team growth.
  • Initiate regular professional development check-ins with direct reports.
  • Maintain documentation of workload and resource needs.
  • Frame and contribute to project team meetings with strategic recommendations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' relevant experience with digital marketing for brand and entertainment properties.
  • BA or BS in Journalism, Film, Marketing, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing teams and professional development.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and make business decisions quickly.
  • Experience working across multiple mediums - social media, digital placements, and websites.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for successful stakeholder interactions.
  • Highly collaborative with an open-minded approach to feedback.
  • Knowledge of data synthesis into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and plan own activities.
