About the position

The Sr. Manager of Enterprise Data & Business Intelligence at BECU is responsible for enhancing data-driven decision-making capabilities by overseeing the design, development, and execution of innovative Business Intelligence and data products. This role involves leading a team to optimize solutions that enable cross-functional teams to leverage data for actionable insights, driving business strategy, product innovation, and operational efficiency. The position plays a crucial role in advancing BECU's cloud transformation journey and utilizing advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning to meet organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategic vision and best practices for Business Intelligence, Data Management, and Analytical Insights.
  • Collaborate with business units, technology leaders, and product teams to create actionable Data Automation and Business Intelligence products.
  • Identify and drive the implementation of Enterprise Data, Business Intelligence, and Analytic solutions across multiple products and initiatives.
  • Deliver world-class enterprise data and analytics by automating insights generated from data science, machine learning, and AI.
  • Automate frameworks that enable leadership to gain clear insights into business and product performance, operational readiness, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive Business Intelligence initiatives that improve operational efficiencies, utilizing data operations managed services and continuous improvement.
  • Create and share metrics and visualizations that communicate the current state of the business and identify actionable insights for improvement or optimization.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to build a motivated and competent team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent work or educational experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise data management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business intelligence.
  • Minimum 3 years of people leader experience in data & analytics technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience driving business outcomes.
  • Experience in Cloud-based environments such as Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.
  • Experience with data and analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, R, Python, SQL.
  • Leadership skills to develop a highly motivated and competent team within Enterprise Data Management and analytics.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies in product development.
  • Experience leading product teams and mentoring analysts.
  • Experience integrating Data Science, AI, and ML into business intelligence and analytical insights.
