About the position

The Sr. Manager, Executive Recruiting role at Capital One is a pivotal position within the Talent Acquisition team, focusing on attracting and engaging top-tier executive talent (VP+) across various business lines. This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive recruiting strategies, managing the executive search lifecycle, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Act with autonomy to own and execute executive level (VP+) searches across key functional areas and lines of businesses.
  • Lead all aspects of the executive search lifecycle, including search strategy, sourcing, candidate cultivation, client management, offer negotiations, and onboarding.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on market trends and internal shifts affecting hiring demands.
  • Partner with hiring teams to develop effective sourcing strategies and drive proactive market research.
  • Integrate various data sources to inform business decisions and embrace data analytics.
  • Manage client and candidate expectations, advising on best practices for engaging passive candidates.
  • Influence and educate stakeholders on a consistent recruiting process for both clients and candidates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners, including search firms.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment in candidate experience and offer negotiations.
  • Stay updated on market trends and identify opportunities for innovation in talent acquisition.
  • Share Capital One's value proposition with the external talent market.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base of executive recruiting by mentoring and coaching teammates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of recruiting or research experience at a global in-house recruiting team, executive search firm, or a large multinational organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience advising and influencing executive leadership.
