The Corporate Factory Supply Chain Sr. Manager is responsible for the co-development, alignment, and supporting the execution of the supply chain strategy across a network of factories. The position serves as a functional lead, single point of contact and escalation role for Supply Chain within the factory. This role is accountable for Factory Supply Chain Strategy, development of Supply Chain Leaders, achieving supply chain results within each site, and overall health of the Supply Chain function at each site. The role also supports the Business Manufacturing Strategy as part of the category cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, align, cascade, and execute the Supply Chain strategy across a network of factories.
  • Co-develop Supply Chain strategy that is aligned to deliver T&P, Supply Chain, and business objectives.
  • Ensure clear alignment of strategic priorities across Ensuring Supply and the Businesses.
  • Partner with site Supply Chain Supervisors/Managers to generate performance glide paths and routines to support the achievement of factory and divisional objectives.
  • Responsible for being the functional lead, single point of contact and escalation role for Supply Chain on the T&P Leadership Teams.
  • Represent Supply Chain as the functional leader for T&P leadership escalations.
  • Provide direction on supply chain-related issues and opportunities.
  • Ensure critical issues are escalated to the appropriate people/functions in order to develop solutions to resolve and achieve category objectives.
  • Deliver results that ensure supply at the lowest total cost through E2E collaboration w/functional partners.
  • Partner with functions to identify and deliver key improvement projects/initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain proper governance with key functions to ensure alignment on driving E2E results and achievement of KPIs (COF, eMSA, NFG DOH, Inventory Accuracy, Raw/Pack Stock Cover, etc.).
  • Create environment for optimal performance through regular routines and consistent connections.
  • Build capabilities of the Supply Chain teams by working collaboratively with Factory Supply Chain Supervisors and site Supply Chain leadership.
  • Provide on-going support to increase supply chain competency at the sites to an expert level (focus on process mastership).
  • Create a culture of continuous learning and drive accountability at each site to establish formal learning plans for critical roles.
  • Partner with FSC and T&P leadership to update and maintain individual Competency Matrix for critical Supply Chain roles, including Development Guides.
  • Coach and develop Supply Chain Supervisors/Managers at the factory sites.
  • Establish regular routines with each of the Supply Chain Managers within their Categories to focus on development and to provide on-going coaching.
  • Promote adherence to the Critical Job Expectations for the Factory Supply Chain Supervisor/Manager role.
  • Develop talent pipeline and succession planning for key Supply Chain roles through partnership with Supply Chain Managers.
  • Identify high potential talent for focused development and training opportunities.
  • Identify/develop training opportunities for high potential talent.
  • Co-develop robust succession plans for critical supply chain roles (Factory and Corporate).
  • Identify Opportunities for Process Optimization and New Tools/Technologies.
  • Collaborate with site Supply Chain leadership and other Nestle OpCo's to prioritize efforts to identify new tools, technologies and capabilities that support breakthrough advancements.
  • Create a forum to support sharing of new ideas and best practices.
  • Drive compliance to key Standards and Policies.
  • Ensure adherence to critical Standards and Policies.
  • Collaborate with site Supply Chain leadership to develop routines that support building an 'audit ready' mindset.
  • Provide Supply Chain support, along with FSC SCE, for all formal audits (NIA, ISO, EY, etc.).

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or 5+ years' experience in similar capacity.
  • Understanding of manufacturing resource planning and material requirements planning.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing, preferably acting as Factory Supply Chain Manager or Manufacturing Excellence Manager.
  • Strong E2E knowledge of Supply Chain including production planning, materials scheduling, warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles in executing complex, multifunctional prioritized projects.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to drive performance improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Self-Motivator who can work towards resolution of problems. Strong and creative problem-solving skills. Effectively able to influence without authority.
  • Advanced skill level in MS Office, including Excel, Access and Word.
  • Experience with SAP and BW desired.
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems desired (e.g., SAP-APO, OMP).
  • Availability for travel (up to 25%) and work beyond the regular scheduled hours.
