About the position

The Region Finance Manager at AmeriGas is responsible for overseeing financial support for field operations, providing insights and forecasts to leadership, and driving efficiencies in budgeting and analysis. This mid-level management role requires strong leadership skills to influence and guide field managers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and effective communication of financial trends.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Company & Region Leadership to provide analytical insight and drive financial discipline.
• Support and implement the PODs initiative, ensuring alignment between field operations and financial planning.
• Oversee financial management and strategic planning for regional operations and strategic accounts.
• Act as a link between field operations, forecasting teams, and capacity modeling to integrate financial and operational data.
• Communicate key financial trends and issues to Region & Area Leaders.
• Lead Region Finance Manager direct reports in managing relationships with the Field and driving consistency in financial support.
• Train Region leaders on financial aspects of their business, including P&L interpretation and financial metrics.
• Lead the CAPEX and OPEX budget and monthly forecast development process.
• Analyze operating expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and review expenses for unusual transactions.
• Support monthly P&L review process and articulate monthly variance reports.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience in financial analysis/management, including experience with distribution operations and B2B financial management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information effectively.
• Experience managing diverse teams across multiple business units in a distribution-focused environment.
• Ability to influence senior leadership through financial interpretation and explanation.

• Familiarity with the propane or related energy sector.
