About the position

The Sr Manager of Financial Accounting at AdventHealth is responsible for managing all aspects of financial projects in collaboration with department leadership. This role serves as a liaison to enhance understanding and facilitate better-informed decisions regarding financial information. The position requires effective communication and leadership skills to ensure project completion and to analyze financial outcomes that support various initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all aspects of projects in conjunction with department leadership.
• Serve as a liaison to enhance understanding which results in better-informed decisions.
• Utilize communication, influence, and presentation skills effectively both internally and externally in explaining and interpreting financial information.
• Lead effective teams of professionals and ensure projects are completed on time by assisting staff in project plan development, implementation, review, and completion.
• Communicate project status and issues with executive sponsors as needed.
• Determine financial outcomes in support of process and program initiatives.
• Analyze service line profitability, evaluate labor initiatives, and assist with building business models for decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant discipline.
• Five years' experience in healthcare finance/accounting, or related field, with specific emphasis on accounting practice, cost accounting, statistical analysis, budgeting, management decision making, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or applicable discipline (Preferred).
• Ten years of Accounting or Finance experience (Preferred).
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) (Preferred).
