About the position

The Sr. Manager of Government Affairs for the South Region at PepsiCo is responsible for managing key policy and regulatory issues across multiple states, including Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. This role involves developing and executing a strategic vision for public policy and government affairs, ensuring proactive engagement with stakeholders, and shaping fair policies that align with PepsiCo's growth ambitions. The position requires a strong focus on local government outreach and collaboration with industry bodies and trade associations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage PepsiCo regulatory risk radar proactively to provide visibility and early warning on key regulatory risks.
  • Ensure early identification of regulatory business risks and align internal stakeholders to address them.
  • Advise sector and corporate on key regulatory risks and align corporate plans for proactive risk mitigation.
  • Monitor and research emerging public policy issues relevant to PepsiCo's operations.
  • Provide external insights on key policy and regulatory matters affecting business strategy.
  • Offer strategic advisory on confidential matters including due diligence and stakeholder reputation.
  • Maintain platforms to distribute and manage public policy content.
  • Set up industry associations and represent PepsiCo in government-private sector consultative processes.
  • Influence public policy in support of PepsiCo's business objectives and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Drive strategic partnerships to advance PepsiCo's global goals and commitments.
  • Generate annual strategic plans and budgets for the business.
  • Ensure effective crisis mitigation from a PPGA perspective.
  • Develop and strengthen the PPGA division in collaboration with GM's and HR teams.
  • Communicate the vision and strategy of Corporate Affairs and PPGA initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Legal, Communications, Economics or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in corporate affairs, government affairs, PR, CSR, or communication.
  • Indefinite right to work in the United States.
