About the position

The Marketing Technology team at DoorDash is dedicated to providing top-tier tools, data, and processes that empower various teams to effectively acquire new customers, enhance retention, and expand new business lines across diverse audiences, including Consumers, Dashers, and Merchants. Our mission is to enable teams to deliver personalized, engaging, and relevant content across all owned and paid channels. We are responsible for shaping the Marketing Technology vision and strategy, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to translate Marketing's technology needs into measurable business outcomes. In this role, we are seeking a highly technical marketer who will define and lead the marketing vision and roadmap for our Marketing Platforms. This position will oversee both internal and third-party tools that facilitate promotional and transactional content across various channels such as email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app communications. As the primary liaison between Marketing and our Growth Product & Engineering teams, you will identify and prioritize product requirements, ensuring that resources are allocated to address the most critical business challenges. You will also be responsible for product and feature adoption, developing processes, training, and documentation to enable Marketing teams to fully leverage our Marketing Platforms. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Technology within the Growth Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the evolution of our marketing operations and governance processes, ensuring consistent and efficient execution across all marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Marketing vision and roadmap for our Marketing Platforms to enable efficient and effective delivery of marketing campaigns across all owned channels.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to identify opportunities, build business cases, and implement solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a technical leader and resource for Growth Marketing, collaborating with Marketing Leads to develop, prioritize, and manage Product & Engineering requests.
  • Own product and feature adoption, creating processes, training, and documentation to help Marketing teams unlock the full potential of our Marketing Platforms.
  • Improve internal tools, processes, and safeguards to ensure customers receive personalized, relevant, and high-quality content.
  • Drive the evolution of marketing operations and governance processes by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on topics related to Marketing Platforms, providing insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Product, or Growth teams, with a deep understanding of Marketing Technology, especially CRM tools and Marketing Automation Platforms.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise-level CRM and Marketing Automation Platforms, along with a strong technical understanding of their integration with internal and third-party tools.
  • Solutions-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a proven track record of managing and delivering technical projects.
  • Outstanding creative thinking skills and the ability to manage risks and devise alternatives when faced with challenges.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and solve business challenges.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures.
  • Ability to thrive in high-impact, fast-paced environments while prioritizing customer experience in decision-making.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in SQL and BI tools.
