About the position
The Senior Manager - Health & Safety Program Development and Assurances will lead the Corporate Health & Safety team at Metallus, overseeing health management systems and programs across multiple operational locations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the implementation of health and safety standards, tools, and training materials, while also managing audit processes and performance management systems.
Responsibilities
- Health & safety program development including standards, tools, and training materials.
- Partnering with key stakeholders to deploy health and safety programs across the organization.
- Managing internal and external health & safety audit and assurance processes.
- Managing industrial hygiene processes, Health & Safety performance management systems, reporting, analysis, etc.
- Responsible for a team of 1-3 employees including goal setting, developing, directing, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field with 15 years of experience in health and safety or steel/heavy manufacturing operations.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field with 12 years of experience in health and safety or steel/heavy manufacturing operations.
