About the position

The Sr. Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Under Armour plays a pivotal role in shaping the HR landscape within the business unit. This position encompasses a comprehensive range of HR practices, including talent strategy, succession planning, performance management, talent acquisition, organizational design, training and development, associate relations, and compensation and benefits. As an integral member of the business unit, the HRBP serves as a crucial liaison between the leadership team, HR specialists, and the executive team, ensuring that HR initiatives align with the overall business strategy and culture. In this role, the HRBP is tasked with promoting and establishing a positive employer-employee relationship, fostering high employee morale, and driving the Under Armour culture throughout all levels of the business unit. The HRBP will work closely with business unit leaders to assess in-house talent, develop strategies for talent retention, and attract external talent. This includes preparing exit strategies for non-performers and providing coaching and counseling to business partners across all HR areas. The HRBP is expected to proactively seek knowledge of industry best practices, legal developments, and emerging trends to create HR practices that are best in class. Responsibilities also include carrying out supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, which encompass interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning and directing work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints. Additionally, the HRBP will engage with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure a consistent pipeline of talent for job openings, proper application of benefits and rewards programs, and the development of training programs tailored to the business unit's needs. Establishing wage and salary structures, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and maintaining a high standard of HR practices are also key components of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Engage HR Centers of Excellence to create and deploy a consistent pipeline of internal and external talent for job openings.
  • Ensure proper application of benefits and rewards programs.
  • Develop training and development programs to meet the needs of the business unit.
  • Establish wage and salary structures and pay policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven knowledge of all core HR processes including performance management, organization design, leadership development, talent management, compensation, succession planning, training, and organizational development.
  • Prior experience promoting an atmosphere that inspires teammates to excel and develop.
  • Prior experience leading talent strategy reviews, employee retention, and identification of high-potential external resources.
  • Prior experience providing confidential counseling and coaching to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience working well with others to maintain and build cross-functional relationships.
