The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Development at Republic Services plays a crucial role in facilitating the growth of the organization through all phases of the development process. This position is integral to the Corporate Business Development team and reports directly to the Director of Development. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with Market, Area, and corporate teams throughout the development process, ensuring that all projects align with the company's strategic goals and operational standards. In this role, the Senior Manager will support the Managers of Business Development in identifying, sourcing, and strategically evaluating development opportunities. They will lead site selection, preliminary designs, and cost estimates for various development projects, ensuring that all aspects are thoroughly assessed and aligned with the company's objectives. Additionally, the Senior Manager will provide support for business case and proforma models for development projects, which are essential for securing necessary approvals and funding. A significant part of the role involves managing the permitting process for development projects, which can often be complex and controversial, particularly in the environmental services industry. The Senior Manager will also provide leadership and oversight for the Managers and Project Execution teams during the development, construction, and startup phases of all projects. This includes supporting acquisitions as needed for due diligence, capital planning, and integration into the existing operational framework. The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and presenting comprehensive reports to various levels of leadership, highlighting project plans, risks, status updates, budget considerations, and any other issues related to development projects. Mentorship and assistance to the Project Development Team will also be a key responsibility, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. This position may require travel up to 50% of the time, reflecting the need for on-site evaluations and collaboration with various teams across the organization.
