About the position

The Head of Internal Communications is a pivotal leadership role within the HR team at PosiGen, tasked with driving performance through impactful communications and innovative learning design. This individual is a passionate storyteller dedicated to delivering high-quality communication that fosters meaningful employee engagement. The role involves creating and executing a dynamic internal communications strategy that resonates with employees and aligns with the company's vision. The Head of Internal Communications collaborates closely with HR, Marketing, and Executive leadership teams to channel their voices and inspire employees across the organization. This position is responsible for the development and management of all HR and employee communications, ensuring that the right messages reach the right audiences at the right times. The incumbent will also focus on enhancing communication channels and messages to support PosiGen's talent imperative and contribute to shaping the company culture through strategic communications that build confidence and excitement around the future vision of the organization. In this role, the Head of Internal Communications will develop and drive an internal communication strategy in partnership with senior leaders, supporting company initiatives and milestones while fostering increased employee engagement and ownership. The position will lead a transformation of internal communications activities, including migrating to an intranet platform to enhance connectivity across PosiGen. Responsibilities include managing the content and schedule for the company intranet, utilizing various communication vehicles to disseminate important information, and partnering with HR and PosiGen leaders on key initiatives such as Employee Engagement, DEI&B, CSR/ESG, and performance management. The Head of Internal Communications will also be responsible for organizing and executing internal employee informational events, developing effective messaging campaigns, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure connectivity across diverse work locations. This role requires building processes, identifying appropriate communication channels, and providing guidance to internal teams in need of support. The incumbent will develop compelling communications around PosiGen's DEI&B commitments and partner with Executive Leadership and Marketing to communicate the company's CSR/ESG achievements. Additionally, the Head of Internal Communications will manage an enterprise-wide internal communications calendar, evaluate communication mediums for effectiveness, and establish key success metrics to track progress and deliver updates to senior management. The role demands a strong ability to create visually impactful and engaging communications that elevate PosiGen's brand and foster a culture of collaboration and trust.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive an internal communication strategy in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Lead a transformation of internal communications activities including the migration to the intranet platform.
  • Manage the content and content schedule for the company intranet.
  • Utilize additional communications vehicles such as HRIS Homepage to communicate important information.
  • Partner with HR and PosiGen leaders on key initiatives such as Employee Engagement, DEI&B, and CSR/ESG.
  • Organize and execute internal employee informational events such as company town halls.
  • Lead, develop and execute effective messaging campaigns to inform and inspire employees.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage projects that establish connectivity with employees across various locations.
  • Support ad-hoc and emergent events requiring internal communications support.
  • Build processes and provide guidance to internal teams needing communications support.
  • Develop effective communications around PosiGen's DEI&B commitment and goals.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to communicate PosiGen's CSR/ESG commitment and achievements.
  • Develop internal communications campaigns and materials with minimal oversight.
  • Manage enterprise-wide internal communications calendar.
  • Evaluate internal communication mediums and make recommendations for effectiveness.
  • Establish key internal communications success metrics and track progress.
  • Evangelize and elevate PosiGen through compelling visual and written communications.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business priorities and consult on communications solutions.
  • Ensure communications and engagement activities are relevant and delivered flawlessly.

Requirements

  • BA/BSc Degree in Communication, Marketing, HR or related field, or demonstrated experience in a similar business environment required.
  • Master's in Communications or MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of internal communication experience.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Experience communicating DEI&B and CSR/ESG preferred.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to appeal to emotion or intellect.
  • Experience articulating complex topics in simple, compelling ways.
  • Understanding of communications fundamentals and a desire to create solutions that delight employees.
  • Excellent writing/editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders and business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Creative and solutions-oriented thinking with strong decision-making skills.
