About the position

Americold is a global provider of temperature-controlled infrastructure, partnering with farmers and food producers to ensure that perishable and frozen products reach food suppliers, restaurants, and grocery stores without spoilage. The company is currently undergoing a significant transformation program, which involves replacing its existing ERP platform with Oracle Fusion Cloud. This initiative aims to drive business transformation across the enterprise, with recent launches in North America and the Asia-Pacific region, and plans for further rollout in other global regions. The Senior Project Manager for IT will play a crucial role in supporting the regions that have already implemented the new system, as well as planning, executing, and finalizing deliverables according to scheduled deadlines and within budget. This position is essential for ensuring that the projected business benefits are met for the remaining regions. The overarching goal of the program is to support Americold's global operations, including North America, Australia, New Zealand, and EMEA, through the Go Live phase and beyond. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will collaborate with the implementation vendor and Americold team members, stakeholders, and leadership to facilitate the support of Americold's Oracle ERP, EPM, and HCM applications. The individual will also work closely with the implementation vendor to triage issues and coordinate with SaaS vendors as necessary, ensuring that Americold users receive a seamless end-to-end experience. The Senior Project Manager will report to the Director of IT PMO and will be responsible for establishing and enforcing a governance model for vendor engagement and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring accountability and performance in the rollout of Americold's ERP systems. The position requires a proactive approach to enhance stakeholder decision-making through increased transparency in project planning, performance, costs, and results. The Senior Project Manager will lead continuous improvement efforts, conduct regular governance checkpoints, and manage other projects as needed, adhering to Americold's IT PMO methodology and processes. This role is designed for an individual contributor working in a hybrid capacity, emphasizing the importance of creative problem-solving and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive support for rolled-out regions and plan, execute, and finalize deliverables according to scheduled deadlines and within budget.
  • Partner with the implementation vendor and Americold team members to support Oracle ERP, EPM, and HCM applications.
  • Triage issues and coordinate with SaaS vendors to provide an end-to-end experience for Americold users.
  • Establish and enforce the governance model for vendor engagement and Americold stakeholders, including tools, processes, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with vendor teams to drive performance and ownership of support and resolution for Americold's ERP systems rollout.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Americold, coordinating with vendors to align initiatives and resource allocation with support goals.
  • Enhance stakeholder decision-making by increasing transparency in project planning, performance, costs, and results.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by addressing issues requiring remediation and providing a forum to review new capabilities.
  • Conduct regular governance checkpoints and collaboration meetings with vendors to assess progress and address issues as needed.
  • Drive other projects from intake to completion by adhering to Americold IT PMO methodology and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of Oracle Fusion ERP software implementation project management experience and ERP consulting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of or prior hands-on implementation experience with Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • 10+ years of project management experience.
  • Smartsheet or similar industry standard PPM experience highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of data reporting experience.
  • Demonstrated advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with industry standard BI and reporting engines (Cognos, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI).
