About the position

The Senior Manager - Lease Enablement position at HP, Inc. is a pivotal role that applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in addressing complex business and technical issues within established policies. This position holds accountability for a large multi-department area or location, significantly impacting business unit results and organizational strategy. As a key advisor to senior management, the Senior Manager will contribute to the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. The role involves planning, managing, and monitoring high-end operational and tactical activities of staff members, who focus on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues, or a combination of both. The Senior Manager is responsible for recruiting and supporting the development of direct staff members, directing and controlling activities within a sub-region or region, and typically managing 10 or more direct reports. In this role, the Senior Manager will manage a team that supports a large and complex business unit or finance function. Responsibilities include hiring, setting and monitoring annual performance plans, coaching, and career development, ensuring that the proper tools are in place to support the team and processes. The Senior Manager will lead complex financial analysis for a global business or finance function, utilizing a strong understanding of the business to determine the best methods for achieving objectives. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis to the business is crucial. The Senior Manager will consult with business leaders to drive and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope, including long-term business planning, product analysis and development, balancing risk, and approving significant deals. Additionally, the Senior Manager will proactively drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function globally. This includes actively reviewing, analyzing, and managing key controls within the domain of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements such as GAAP, SBC, and AFM. The role also involves managing external vendors, such as auditors, and providing leadership during the implementation of business-wide programs and products.

Requirements

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in a finance function.
  • Typically 2+ years of supervisory and/or leading a project team experience.
