About the position

The Sr. Manager of Logistics and Warehouse at BioFire Diagnostics is responsible for establishing and executing the supply chain business strategy. This role involves leading multiple teams within the logistics department, ensuring efficient operations, and achieving the company's goals and objectives. The manager will oversee a team of approximately 50 individuals, providing coaching, guidance, and training to maintain an engaged and skilled workforce while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish work teams for overlapping coverage.
  • Drive execution of actions to meet customer order shipment dates and completion dates.
  • Direct warehouse and work areas following 5S principles and support Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure team training according to established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO, and FDA regulations for warehouse activities.
  • Supply and monitor data measuring department performance.
  • Develop and manage performance indicators for warehouse operations to drive improvements.
  • Manage physical inventory of finished goods and raw materials through cycle counting and physical counts.
  • Uphold company policies and ensure understanding of their implications.
  • Perform full performance management for employees.
  • Fill in for Sr. Director Supply Chain when absent.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and termination activities.
  • Oversee logistics operation budget and ensure compliance with expenditure requirements.
  • Implement corrective actions when process requirements cannot be met.
  • Write new procedures as needed.
  • Follow up on execution and trigger logistics preventative and corrective action plans.
  • Drive logistics transformation projects in coordination with site objectives.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop logistics teams as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of warehouse experience.
  • 8+ years of management experience required.
  • Associate's Degree with 10+ years of warehouse experience including materials management and inventory accuracy principles accepted.
  • High School Diploma with 12+ years of warehouse experience including materials management and inventory accuracy principles accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, cGMP, ISO, and FDA regulations.
  • Experience in Material Handling and Inventory management required.
  • Knowledge of materials management and inventory accuracy principles.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen and 5S principles.
  • Shipping and/or receiving experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
